Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai says usage of the company’s AI tools has accelerated sharply in recent months. On its Q2 2025 earnings call, Pichai announced that AI Overviews in Search now has 2 billion monthly users, compared to 1.5 billion in May.

Gemini, Google’s flagship AI app, has expanded to 450 million monthly active users, with daily requests up by more than half since the first quarter.

Google’s AI compute load has also grown, processing 980 trillion monthly tokens — double the level reported just two months ago.

Pichai said these milestones underscore the scale and adoption of Google’s AI-driven features worldwide.
