Everything You Need to Know About the New iPhone Air

At its latest product event, Apple introduced the iPhone Air, its slimmest phone yet at 5.6mm. CEO Tim Cook said the device marks the “biggest leap ever for iPhone,” and the first fresh model since the iPhone X in 2017. Positioned at $999, it sits between the iPhone 17 and the Pro models.

The A19 Pro processor powers the entire iPhone 17 lineup, complemented by Apple’s new N1 wireless chip with support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. Pro editions adopt vapor chamber cooling, and all models feature a Liquid Glass exterior tied to iOS 26.

Apple also unveiled the Watch Series 11, offering 5G and hypertension detection, and the Ultra 3, which brings satellite connectivity. The AirPods Pro 3 gained fitness sensors, noise cancellation upgrades, and live translation at $249.

Apple Intelligence received modest updates, chiefly live translation. Analysts suggest the company’s AI momentum will become clearer by 2027.
